COVIDIEN PURITAN BENNETT 980

COVIDIEN PURITAN BENNETT 980

Features

The Covidien Puritan Bennett 980 ventilator provides mechanical ventilation from neonatal patients to adults who require respiratory support. The PB 980 can be used for intra-hospital transport to provide continuous ventilatory support with oxygen and compressed medical air from an internal air compressor or external air source. This Medtronic ventilator delivers oxygen concentrations 21% to 100%. The PB980 can administer ventilatory support to patients invasively or non-invasively who require positive pressure ventilation, assist/control, SIMV, or spontaneous modes of ventilation. It can be used in areas such as general care floors, operating rooms, and intensive care units. This Puritan Bennett Ventilator also has a battery backup that provides power in case AC power is lost.

  • Simple, easy-to-use, and highly customizable touchscreen user-interface.
  • 15” display that rotates 170° about a vertical axis in either direction.
  • Display shows ventilator, apnea and alarm settings, patient data, waveforms, and current alarm banners.
  • Unique ventilator assurance feature that will continue to deliver ventilatory support as close to the preset setting in the event of certain system failures.

COVIDIEN VALLEY LAB FORCE FXc

COVIDIEN VALLEY LAB FORCE FXc

Features

The Covidien Force FX-C is an electrosurgical generator, also referred to as the “Covidien Force FX electrosurgical generator C “ , that provides isolated output power for cutting, desiccating, and fulgurating tissue during bipolar and monopolar surgery. This Valley lab ESU automatically senses resistance and adjusts the output voltage to maintain a constant effect across different tissue densities. This adjustment is only available in bipolar or cut modes and is based on the power setting and the level of tissue resistance. It features 3 bipolar modes, 3 monopolar cut modes, 3 monopolar coag modes, and supports simultaneous coagulation. The Covidien Force ESUs support the use of CUSA System 200 CUSA EXcel+ , and CUSA handpieces with the CUSA electrosurgical module.

  • Instant Response technology ensures that the power delivered remains virtually constant, regardless of the tissue type
  • Improved performance at lower power settings minimizes the risk of tissue damage and neuromuscular stimulation
  • Three internal microcontrollers reduce system reaction time and increase the system’s processing speed
  • Spray coagulation voltage of no more than 9000 volts peak-to-peak output for broad, but superficial coagulation with limited capacitive coupling
  • A Power Efficiency Rating (PER) of approximately 98 for accurate and consistent cut performance
  • Three cut modes, all controlled by Instant Response™ technology, offer surgeons a variety of choices:
    • Low Cut for delicate tissue or laparoscopic cases
    • Pure Cut for a clean, precise cut
    • Blend for cutting with hemostasis
  • Four coag modes:
    • Desiccate for low voltage contact coagulation suitable in laparoscopic and delicate tissue work
    • Fulgurate (high crest factor) for efficient noncontact coagulation in most applications
    • Fulgurate (low crest factor) for lower voltage coagulation requirements
    • Spray for coagulating large tissue areas with superficial depth of necrosis
  • Three bipolar modes:
    • Precise, Standard, and Macrobipolar are controlled by the Instant Response™ system
    • Precise and Standard setting utilize low voltage to prevent sparking
  • Versatile system that is uniquely compatible with other devices, including:
    • Force Argon™ II and Force GSU™ argon coagulation system
    • CUSA EXcel™ and CUSA™ 200 ultrasonic surgical aspirators
    • OptiMumm™ smoke evacuator, through a direct cable link
    • Valleylab VLCM bipolar current monitor
  • Compatible with and used as the electrosurgical energy source for:
    • Dyonics* Control RF arthroscopic ablation system
    • Dyonics* Electroblade™ rotary resection system
    • Cook Vascular Perfecta™ EDS pacemaker lead extraction system
  • Compatible with, and the exclusive electrosurgical generator for, the Computer Motion Hermes™ Voice Command system

CSZ MR 400

CSZ MR 400

Features

The CSZ HEMOTHERM 400MR Cooler/Heater system is used to lower/raise the blood temperature and/or maintain blood temperature, as required, through conductive heat transfer. The conductive heat transfer on the Sub Zero cooler is accomplished through any type of blood oxygenator/heat exchanger unit, along with the use of a blanket under the patient for the re-warming phase, if desired.

  • Efficient Heating/Cooling: Dual reservoirs double your efficiency. Independent cooling and heating reservoirs permit instant changeover from one bath to the other. Each reservoir has its own control mechanism and temperature display. The efficient pump produces a flow rate higher than any competitor’s units. The Hemotherm lowers reservoir water temperatures at a rate that rapidly produces a significant reduction in blood temperature.
  • Patient Safety: Built-in secondary Hi and Lo safety thermostats and an external circuit breaker which can be reset to enhance the safe design of Hemotherm.
  • Convenient: Ice is not required with this system, eliminating the mess and providing the simple setup. For additional convenience, an optional remote control is available to change and monitor settings of the Hemotherm from a remote location. Microprocessor control provides an easier, more accurate operation. A large LED readout allows monitoring at a glance. Eliminates the need for calibration.
  • Ease of Use: Mechanical refrigeration means easy set-up, quick response, and minimum clean up. It eliminates the preconditioning process. Hemotherm takes up just 3.4 sq. ft (0.3 sq. m) of floor space and moves easily on conductive swivel casters.
  • Dual Purpose: The Hemotherm may also be used with a hyper/hypothermia blanket to provide additional patient cooling/re-warming therapy
